$10,000 gets you 10 acres in Panama and initial cultivation and maintenance services required to establish a jatropha crop/plantation. Continued maintenance, harvesting, processing, and sales of the end product will be payed for from gross proceeds with net proceeds being split 50/50 between the investor and ourselves. Each acre of jatropha is expected to yield 200 gallons of product. Product production costs are expected to run $2.68 per gallon selling for $3.83 per gallon netting $2300 per year per $10,000 unit. In addition; the government of Panama has expressed that they will back a 6% loan for an additional 25 acres per unit to be cultivated, further increasing profit potential. Worst case scenario is we net $0 from operations but receive the 15% agricultural export cash incentive, based on the gross revenues, from the Panama government resulting in net revenus of $1149 per year per $10,000 unit.
All investment funds will be sent to our lawyers in Panama to provide a paper trail with KPMG International providing auditable accounting services. Contacts can be provided upon request and receipt of an initial $100 fee payable by wire transfer to the same, the fee is non-refundable but will be credited to your investment should you decide to do proceed. This prevents excessive inquiries by those not truelly willing and able.
Once we have planted 50,000 acres we will ask all investors to vote on whether an IPO should be initiated so those with the desire or need may exit the investment. This is a startup operation and investment needs to be considered carefully before you commit, perform your due dilegence. Farming operations can face unique problems not the least of which is pest infestations and natural disasters resulting in loss of investment. We are told that this investment will qualify for crop insurance but cannot guarantee that at this time. Jatropha has few pests and Panama in not subject to earthquakes, forest fires, or hurricanes so we believe the risk is limited.
